Video Team set to capture First Tee Phoenix Phenom

Our multimedia journalists, Kelsey Makings and Jeff Locke, will be out in the field this week working on a video package highlighting golf phenom, Nicole Jones.

Jones is a local young lady who learned the game at The First Tee of Phoenix in 2008 at the old, old age of 16! Jones played high school golf at Horizon High School where she was Team Captain and was titled MVP for three years. She then went on to earn a golf scholarship to the ASU Women’s Golf Team. She earned Honor Roll status for getting good grades in high school and is currently a Presidential Scholar at ASU. Plus, she’s a member of the National Honor Society, Society of Women Scholars, District and Region Orchestra, Co-founder/Vice President of Ecology Club and was Fourth runner up in Ms. Teen Phoenix.

Not too shabby.

The video will be comprise of Jones speaking and practicing, and it will also feature The First Tee Phoenix Executive Director, Hugh Smith Jr. Be sure to check it out once the editing is complete!
