JUSTIN LEONARD, HENRIK STENSON AMONG LATEST

TO COMMIT TO 2010 FRYS.COM OPEN

SAN MARTIN, Calif. – Justin Leonard, a 12-time PGA TOUR winner (including the 1996 British Open) and three-time U.S. Ryder Cup team member, has committed to the 2010 Frys.com Open.

Additionally, Henrik Stenson, a two-time PGA TOUR winner (including the 2009 Players Championship and the 2007 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship) and two-time European Ryder Cup team member, has also committed to play in the Frys.com Open. Stenson and Leonard have ranked as high as 4th and 5th respectively on the Official World Golf Rankings. The Frys.com Open will be played at CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, Calif., October 13-17, 2010.

Also committing to the field today are 2007 Frys.com Open winner George McNeill, Bryce Molder (the 66th-ranked player in the Official World Golf Rankings) and Lee Janzen, an eight-time PGA TOUR winner including two U.S. Open Championships – 1992 at Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey and 1998 at the Olympic Club in San Francisco.

The list of committed players also includes a number of other top PGA TOUR players, including the 47th ranked player on the 2010 PGA TOUR money list Brendon de Jonge; one-time PGA TOUR winner Ryuji Imada; three-time PGA TOUR winner Carl Pettersson; 34th ranked player in the Official World Golf rankings Rickie Fowler and 48th ranked player in the Official World Golf rankings Ben Crane.

PGA TOUR members have until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, to commit to play in the Frys.com Open.  Eligible players are assigned one of 38 PGA TOUR priority rankings based on past performances on the PGA TOUR.  The field will continue to change as players with better priority rankings commit to play in the Frys.com Open.

The Frys.com Open is part of the PGA TOUR’s Fall Series and features a full-field (132 players), four-day tournament with a $5 million purse and $900,000 payout to the winner.  The tournament will be played Oct. 11-17 at CordeValle in San Martin, Calif., located just 25 minutes south of title sponsor Fry’s Electronics headquarters in San Jose, Calif.  For more information go to www.frysopengolf.com or find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/frysopengolf.
