Keeping Yourself “Golf Fit”
Much has been written about golf ailments, especially in light of injuries to Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jason Day and other golfers on the PGA TOUR. Tour professionals can afford the luxury of fitness trainers and specialists and home workout facilities. The PGA TOUR has a fitness trailer that’s available at almost all tour events so the players can get in pre-round stretching. What the players know well is that staying “golf fit” is the best way to minimize income-reducing ailments.
For non-professionals like us who don’t have home gyms and access to the PGA TOUR’s facilities, we do know there are some relatively simple things that all golfers should put into practice…from pre-round stretching to at least a half hour on the practice range before your tee time.
