2013 WM Phoenix Open is Heating Up

The WM Phoenix Open is just weeks away and there are a number of exciting changes/additions at this year’s tournament. First, thanks to Cox Communications, most of the golf course will be a wi-fi hot zone which will help smart phone users download and access the digital world quicker. Cell and smart phones were first allowed at last year’s event. With 150,000+ fans attempting to access their phones, the system quickly became bogged down and slow. We’re excited and hopeful that Cox Communications has found the solution.

Also new for the 2013, the tournament will debut two new venues – The Patriots’ Outpost and the Beringer Wine Bar. The Patriot’s Outpost is a venue exclusively for active and retired military personnel AND their families. Located near the 18th tee box, the Patriots’ Outpost will be a comfortable place for our heroes and their families to relax, grab a bite to eat and enjoy a cold or warm beverage while at the WMPO. The Beringer Wine Bar is also located near the 18th tee box and will be a great spot to sample some of Beringer’s finest wines.
